Trauma Empowerment
Everyone is affected by distressing events in different ways and everyone has a different scale of severity for what may or may not be traumatizing for them. Everyone also handles the feelings of trauma in different ways. There isn’t any one way to process how trauma has impacted your life and you shouldn’t criticize yourself for how you react to unnatural events. Regardless of what has happened, or how you’ve gotten to a place of feeling trauma, the most important thing you can do is to recognize the symptoms to start your journey of recovery. I specialize in emotional and psychological trauma recovery and empowerment and I want to help you if you are struggling with any of these symptoms:
- Difficulty concentrating
- Denial or shock
- Depression
- Anger or mood swings
- Guilt
- Feeling distracted or disconnected
- Feeling sad or hopeless
- Trouble sleeping
- Fear
- Loss of control
These are just a few of the potential warning signs out of many and ultimately, if you find yourself struggling with anything after a traumatic event, I want to help. A lot of people often resort to isolation in a time of conflict but closing yourself off can make things worse. I have had the best success with trauma recovery in support groups and promoting a shared experience. Join us in my Tempe office to start your path of trauma recovery and empowerment.
The road to recovery can be long but you are not alone and my number one goal is to help you. I promote group healing but I still take an individualistic approach to each person and their needs. Everyone is different and there is no one exact way to address such complex issues. I know it can feel overwhelming to try a new way of healing, but if you get in touch, I will do everything in my power to help you get yours back.
